Ben has been an athlete his entire life, from a grueling collegiate rowing career to his love for rock climbing and surfing today. Being an active participant in the sports he documents allows an intimate perspective into documenting athletes and their lifestyles.
Ben prefers to be hands-off with his subjects, which allows him to capture athlete’s emotions and movement in a raw and natural form. This philosophy is evident in his images, and has made his work a favorite of photo editors everywhere.
